They have no car here so we drove them to Debre Zeyit yesterday to see the house. (The traffic was SO awful it took 2 1/2 hours to get there and FOUR hours to get home!?!?!? Broken down buses, stalled cars, accidents, etc....!!!) : /
We took some photos at the house, measured some walls, etc... I will post a few photos...
This is the home we are going to rent! They were just putting in the concrete for our driveway... |
Here is part of the kitchen. Every home is built with servants' quarters in back ~ 3 or 4 rooms side by side. These will of course be empty! : D |
Our front door |
This is the "round" room on the left as you face the house. It has a WONDERFUL view! |
This is the view from the balcony off our bedroom. |
This "park" is right across the street from our front door! It is a nice QUIET neighborhood. |
Our master bathroom |
This is the window on the stairway. The glass is etched with cool pictures. |
This shows the patio off of the living room and the balcony off our bedroom upstairs. |
Joyce,
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a super-nice house! I don't think I've been in a house that night in Ethiopia. Is there going to be a washer and drying for you guys, so do you used the deck for drying clothes?
It really is nice. It's 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a nice big living room/dining room and kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThe washer will go in the downstairs bathroom next to the kitchen. It's pretty small with a sink and a toilet in there, but the Preators have their washing machine outside and MANY homes we looked at did too. No dryers around here at all! Clothes are hanging on the line everywhere you look!!
So glad you found a home!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you found home! I have been praying that you would find a comfortable, safe, home to rent and it looks like you did! I love reading your blog!
